2010 Opel Insignia Sports Tourer

The Insignia Sports Tourer is the unique and dynamic sporty station wagon that offers ample space for five passenger and spacious luggage compartment. The new 2010 Sports Tourer designs combines the sculptural artistry and technical precision found in the notch and hatchback models. The new 2.0-liter CDTI BiTurbo will top the diesel engine family available in the Insignia with two-stage turbo-charging and clean tech combustion control. As in the Insignia sedan, GM Europe engineers fine-tuned the subtlest details to ensure excellent aerodynamic performance including rounding the front bumper corners and adding a flexible spoiler lip to its bottom end, giving the A-pillar a rounder shape, changing the exterior mirror to a wing form, and profiling the lower control arm in the rear suspension.
The wide stance of the new Opel Insignia Sports Tourer is highlighted by integrated wheel arch extensions. The smooth wrap-around profile blends the light clusters, fog lights and grille into a fluid and dynamic structure, including the “wing” light signature.Too many estate cars lack charm in side profile. Not the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer. The coupé-like lines have been smoothly extended into the wrap-around tailgate in a way that successfully emphasizes it´s proportions. The rear hatch is fully sculpted to extend the sporting lines. The waist level mounting of the lights, wrap-around rear screen, chrome Opel wing motif and Blitz, together with wide track and roof spoiler, combine to make a strong impression. The result looks aerodynamic, which is only to be expected, for the Sports Tourer was thoroughly refined in the wind tunnel.
The interior design of the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer themes echo on the flowing lines and soft curves that characterize the exterior styling. The skill and refinement that has been invested in the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer is evident in every detail of the interior. The elegant yet sporty design combined with high quality surfaces, chrome accents and bolder colours welcomes and embraces the occupants, while also meeting the highest standards in ergonomics and comfort. All main surfaces are textured with “soft touch” materials, giving the cabin a premium tactile quality. The top front fascia panel is a continuous arc that flows into the shaped door moldings, lending the cabin a wide and spacious ambience. The steep rake of the windshield has allowed the front passenger airbag to be accommodated without compromising space for a large glove box.
Also during the day caused the Insignia for additional lighting. A row on top of the daytime running light wall unit were constant and seemed to put extra Insignia in the paint. Moreover you can enjoy the panoramic roof during the day, although you only get if you unchecked the option list. This option allows you € 1,250 lighter, but the kids in the back will certainly enjoy.
